Tuesday

Silverton 80, South Albany 61: The No. 4 Foxes shot 54 percent from the field, including 9 of 21 from three-point range, to prevail in a battle of unbeaten teams from the 5A Mid-Willamette Conference. David Gonzales scored 19 points, Levi Nielsen had 18 points, 14 rebounds and four assists and Jonah Downey had 18 points and four assists for Silverton, which led the seventh-ranked RedHawks 45-34 at half.

Trinity Lutheran 65, Chiloquin 38: Matt Eidler had 23 points, 10 rebounds, six assists and five steals and Scooty Gilbert added 20 points, including a long three-pointer at the halftime buzzer, for Trinity Lutheran. Den Herrera scored 24 points for Chiloquin.

Central 56, West Albany 48: Kaleb Kantola scored 15 points to lead the Panthers to the 5A Mid-Willamette Conference win. Koby Ruiz led West Albany with nine points.

Wilsonville 81, Crook County 45: Junior guard Gabe Reichle scored 23 points and had six rebounds and senior backcourt mate Jack Roche had a double-double with 22 points and 10 assists as the third-ranked Wildcats (5-0) won in the opening round of the Capitol City Classic at Willamettte University. Ten players scored for Wilsonville, who played without junior starter Dakota Reber (illness) and senior wing Sam Westing (injury). Kaleb Savage had 15 points for Crook County (5-4).

Triad 53, North Lake 44: Gabe Smith scored 11 points and hit two three-pointers for the first time, including one in the fourth quarter, as Triad held on for the win. Micah Young and Weston Heryford added 10 points each for the Timberwolves. Austin Murphy had 17 points for North Lake, making three three-pointers during a fourth-quarter rally.

Monday

Yoncalla 58, Eddyville 55: Elijah Allen scored a season-high 19 points as Yoncalla got payback for a 62-52 loss to Eddyville on Dec. 3. Yoncalla trailed 39-34 after three quarters but got hot from three-point range and locked down on defense in the final minutes. Keagan Spikes scored 20 points to lead Eddyville, which got only seven points from Isaac Kinion, who scored 35 points in the first meeting between the teams.

GIRLS

Tuesday

West Linn 78, Century 45: The Lions shot 55 percent and had 25 steals in rolling past the Jaguars, building a 30-point lead at halftime. Audrey Roden had 26 points and nine steals, Aaronette Vonleh had 14 points and eight rebounds, Payton Shelstad had 12 points and Cami Fulcher added 10 assists for West Linn.

“We are working hard on our half-court defense as well as our offensive transitional game,” West Linn coach Brooke Cates said. “We took a baby-step tonight.”

Forest Grove 45, Lake Oswego 39: Emily Lester scored 14 points and Olivia Gross added 11 points for Forest Grove turned back the Lakers, who got 11 points from Megan Woolard. The Vikings had their 10-point halftime lead cut to three but they made nine free throws in the fourth quarter to put it away.

Blanchet Catholic 59, Cascade 35: Ana Coronado had 20 points and six assists and Trinity Phipps added 14 points to lead the Cavaliers, who opened a 30-13 lead at half. Cascade got 12 points from Brooklyn Worst and 11 points from Camryn Boyles.

Valley Catholic 64, Estacada 17: The Valiants led 43-9 at half in the win over the Rangers. Callie Kawaguchi scored 18 points and Lauren Snook had 10 points to lead Valley Catholic.

Gladstone 53, Newport 44: Aaliyah Asad scored 14 points and Jade Rowley and Taryn Pinner added 13 points apiece in the win for the Gladiators. Madison Hargett led the Cubs with 14 points.

Monday

Faith Bible 49, Vernonia 46: Anny Goodloe and Izzy Steerman scored 16 and 15 points, respectively, as the Falcons came back from an eight-point deficit in the third quarter to win. Vernonia got 16 points from Brooklyn Walters and 14 points from Jordan Walters.
