Recaps from Friday's girls basketball playoff round of 16 for 3A, 2A and 1A. The winners advance to their respective eight-team state tournaments next week.

No. 1 Clatskanie 80, No. 16 De La Salle North Catholic 29: Shelby Blodgett had 18 points, 30 rebounds and seven steals and Olivia Sprague had 26 points, nine rebounds, four assists and four steals as the Tigers dominated.

No. 9 Harrisburg 45, No. 8 Yamhill-Carlton 37: The host Tigers went on a 16-0 run to lead 31-26 after three quarters, but Harrisburg took control in the fourth quarter. Delaney Buzzard had 13 points and Hope Bucher collected 11 points, 12 rebounds and seven steals for the Eagles. Aliyah Seibel had 18 points for Yamhill-Carlton, including 10 during the third-quarter run.

No. 5 Brookings-Harbor 62, No. 12 Salem Academy 55 (OT): Lexi Schofield scored 24 points and Sidney Alexander added 16 points for the Bruins, who came back after trailing 34-26 at half. Salem Academy's Annabelle Brawley scored 15 points, including a banked three-pointer at the buzzer to force overtime. Katie Bauldree added 12 points for the Crusaders.

“Their size and length bothered us and they did a great job chasing us off the 3-point line,” Brookings-Harbor coach Chris Schofield said. “We were able to lock down on them defensively in the second half and slow them down a bit. Brawley hit a couple of huge shots for them in the fourth to keep us from putting it away. But our girls really regrouped well and came up big in overtime.”

No. 4 Willamina 50, No. 13 Cascade Christian 31: The Bulldogs outscored the Challengers 19-7 in the third quarter to open a 38-20 and hold on for the win. Kallie Schoenbachler, Kaya McClean and Grace France scored nine points each for Willamina.

No. 3 Pleasant Hill 46, No. 14 Horizon Christian 27: Angeni Yeo scored 14 of her 20 points in the fourth quarter to lead the Billies, who pulled away after leading 25-20 at the end of the third quarter. Yeo made back-to-back three pointers, converted a three-point play and hit 9 of 10 free throws in the game. Pleasant Hill's Kaylee Martin scored 16 of her game-high 22 points in the second half.

No. 6 Burns 55, No. 11 Santiam Christian 44: Allie Hueckman scored 32 points for the Hilanders, who led 25-16 at half and turned back the visiting Eagles. Audrey Miller scored 16 points for Santiam Christian, which committed 19 turnovers.

No. 10 Vale 48, No. 7 Oregon Episcopal 45

No. 2 Sutherlin 49, No. 15 Portland Adventist Academy 32: The Bulldogs made seven three-pointers in the first half to build a 30-16 lead and rolled to the win. Kiersten Haines made five three-pointers, four in the first quarter, and scored 16 points. Micah Wicks also had 16 points for Sutherlin.

No. 1 Kennedy 64, No. 16 Heppner 26: Ellie Cantu and Sophia Carley scored 14 and 13 points, respectively, to lead Kennedy, which built leads of 16-4 after one quarter and 38-10 at half to oust the reigning state champion Mustangs.

“We worked on some new things and it went really well,” Carley said. “We wanted to practice them against a tough team and this was a good test. We've also been working on a new press and it worked great for us in the beginning.

"We are really looking forward to the finals. If we play with confidence and work really hard, we can bring home the trophy."

No. 9 Coquille 55, No. 8 Vernonia 51 (OT): Morgan Baird scored 20 points and Mia Ruiz scored six of her 12 points in overtime to lead the Red Devils to the road win. Vernonia rallied from an eight-point deficit in the fourth quarter to force overtime, but Coquille scored the first 10 points of overtime. Brooklyn Walters scored 23 points for the Loggers, making four three-pointers in the second half.

No. 5 Bandon 56, No. 12 Faith Bible 43: Traylyn Arana scored a career-high 30 points in her first playoff game as the Tigers advanced to the state tournament for the first time since 1995.

No. 4 Gervais 58, No. 13 Stanfield 35: Leading 35-34 after three quarters, Gervais outscored Stanfield 23-1 in the fourth quarter to secure its first state-tournament berth in 25 years. Bella Vasquez scored 17 points and Izzy Boyd and Aracel Vasquez added 12 points each for Gervais. Maggie Sharp had 13 points for Stanfield.

“Our girls took the defense to a deeper level and brought the intensity up,” Gervais coach Kyle Buse said. “We executed down the stretch.”

No. 3 Central Linn 33, No. 14 Colton 29: Ryleigh Nofziger scored 15 points to lead the Cobras to the win over the Vikings. Colton led 24-23 late in the third quarter, but Nofziger hit back-to-back jumpers to put Central Linn ahead to stay. Gemma Rowland scored five of her seven points in the fourth quarter to help seal the win.

No. 6 Monroe 40, No. 11 Enterprise 37: Ashley Sutton scored 14 points, including a clinching basket with 18 seconds left, for Monroe. Ashlyn Gray scored 11 points for Enterprise.

No. 10 Portland Christian 42, No. 7 Lost River 35, Saturday: The Royals outscored the Raiders 12-2 in the final minutes to pull out the road win. Leah Zallee made back-to-back baskets to put Portland Christian ahead to stay at 34-33.

No. 2 Union 65, No. 15 Lakeview 31: Senior Brianna Kohr made 10 three-pointers and finished with 35 points as the Bobcats blasted the Honkers. Kohr scored 24 points in the second half, making seven three-pointers.

1A

No. 1 Crane 67, No. 16 Days Creek 32: Kelie Siegner scored 28 points and added 11 rebounds, Riley Davis had 17 rebounds and seven blocked shots and Shelie Doman added 10 points for unbeaten Crane. Moriah Michaels and Ashtyn Slater scored 11 points each for Days Creek.

No. 9 Country Christian 39, No. 8 Rogue Valley Adventist 35 (Saturday): Down by six points at half, visiting Country Christian rallied behind a half-court trapping defense. Sophomore Lizzy Grandle scored 18 points for the Cougars, who took the led with 1:15 left.

No. 5 Joseph 61, No. 12 Livingstone Adventist Acad. 37: Camille Crenshaw and Sabrina Albee scored 17 points each and Madelyn Nelson added 14 points for Joseph, which advanced to the state tournament for the third year in a row.

No. 4 Damascus Christian 48, No. 13 Dufur 24: After spotting the Rangers the first basket, the Eagles scored the next 13 points and took control. Emily Powers scored a game-high 19 points for Damascus Christian.

No. 3 Perrydale 40, No. 14 Prairie City 18: The host Pirates smothered Prairie City, leading 18-8 at half and 26-14 after three quarters. Amity Deters and Sydney Lawrence scored 16 and 11 points, respectively, for Perrydale. Prairie City got eight points from Emily Ennis.

No. 6 North Douglas 34, No. 11 Powder Valley 23: Down 11-6 after one quarter, the Warriors held Powder Valley to 12 points the rest of the way. Nicki Derrick and Sofia Alcantar scored 11 and nine points, respectively, for North Douglas.

No. 7 Mohawk 46, No. 10 Elkton 29: Kennedy Mattox scored 16 points to lead Mohawk, which forced 27 turnovers and held the Elks to 18-percent shooting.

No. 2 St. Paul 64, No. 15 Echo 45: Erin Counts scored 27 points, 19 in the second half, as the reigning state champion Buckaroos posted the home win. Faith McCarty scored 21 points for Echo.
