Rankings Freeze and Play-In Dates Summary
32-team OSAA bracket
Automatic Qualifiers – Twenty-one teams automatically qualify for the OSAA’s 32-team bracket based on
regular season and/or special district tournament play on or before Friday, November 1. Each special
district determines how they will select their three allotted playoff spots.
Special District 1 - Grant, Roosevelt, Jefferson
Special District 2 - Jesuit, Aloha, Beaverton
Special District 3 - Sherwood, Newberg, Glencoe
Special District 4 - Central Catholic, Clackamas, Barlow
Special District 5 - Tigard, Tualatin, Lake Oswego
Special District 6 - McNary, West Salem, Bend
Special District 7 - Sheldon, North Medford, South Medford
Rankings Freeze Date – The rankings will freeze at 10pm on Friday, November 1.
At-Large Qualifiers – Eleven additional teams will qualify for the OSAA's 32-team
bracket based on the OSAA rankings. Once the rankings are frozen, the 11 highest ranked
teams not already an automatic special district qualifier will qualify as At-Large teams.
At-Large #1 - West Linn
At-Large #2 - Sunset
At-Large #3 - Mountainside
At-Large #4 - Liberty
At-Large #5 - Lakeridge
At-Large #6 - Reynolds
At-Large #7 - Westview
At-Large #8 - Southridge
At-Large #9 - Grants Pass
At-Large #10 - Oregon City
At-Large #11 - Century
Rankings – Once the 32 qualifying teams are determined, they will be placed on the OSAA bracket
according to OSAA Executive Board Policy "State Championships – Rankings".
