6A Football Playoff Qualifications
Rankings Freeze and Play-In Dates Summary
32-team OSAA bracket
Automatic Qualifiers – Twenty-one teams automatically qualify for the OSAA’s 32-team bracket based on
regular season and/or special district tournament play. Each special district determines how they will select
their three allotted playoff spots.
Special District 1 - Grant, Roosevelt, Lincoln
Special District 2 - Jesuit, Sunset, Southridge
Special District 3 - Liberty, Newberg, Sherwood
Special District 4 - Clackamas, Central Catholic, Barlow
Special District 5 - Lake Oswego, Tigard, West Linn
Special District 6 - McNary, West Salem, Bend
Special District 7 - Sheldon, Grants Pass, South Medford
- Special District 1 - Grant, Roosevelt, Lincoln
Rankings Freeze Date – The rankings will freeze at 10pm on Friday, October 26.
At-Large Qualifiers – Eleven additional teams will qualify for the OSAA's 32-team bracket based on the OSAA rankings.
Once the rankings are frozen, the 11 highest ranked teams not already an automatic special district qualifier will qualify as At-Large teams.
At-Large #1 - Tualatin
At-Large #2 - Lakeridge
At-Large #3 - Oregon City
At-Large #4 - Sandy
At-Large #5 - Reynolds
At-Large #6 - Beaverton
At-Large #7 - Mountain View
At-Large #8 - McMinnville
At-Large #9 - Aloha
At-Large #10 - Centennial
At-Large #11 -North Medford
- Once the rankings are frozen, the 11 highest ranked teams not already an automatic special district qualifier will qualify as At-Large teams.
- Rankings – Once the 32 qualifying teams are determined, they will be placed on the OSAA bracket according to OSAA Executive Board Policy "State Championships – Rankings".
