Rankings Freeze and Play-In Dates Summary

32-team OSAA bracket

  1. Automatic Qualifiers – Twenty-one teams automatically qualify for the OSAA's 32-team bracket based on regular season and/or district tournament play. Each league determines how they will select their allotted playoff spots.

      PIL – 3; Metro – 3; Pacific - 3; Mt. Hood – 3; Three Rivers – 3; Mountain Valley – 3; Southwest – 3

      PIL - Benson, Grant, Lincoln
      Metro - Beaverton, Southridge, Mountainside
      Pacific - Liberty, McMinnville, Forest Grove
      Mt. Hood - Barlow, Central Catholic, Clackamas
      Three Rivers - West Linn, Oregon City, Tualatin
      Mountain Valley - South Salem, West Salem, Bend
      Southwest - South Medford, Sheldon, South Eugene

  2. Rankings Freeze Date – The rankings will freeze at 10pm on Friday, February 28.

  3. At-Large Qualifiers – Eleven additional teams qualify for the OSAA's 32-team bracket based on the OSAA rankings. Once the rankings are frozen, the 11 highest ranked teams not already an automatic league qualifier will qualify as At-Large teams.

      At-Large #5 - Lakeridge
      At-Large #6 - David Douglas
      At-Large #7 - Newberg
      At-Large #8 - Westview
      At-Large #9 - Tigard
      At-Large #10 - Grants Pass
      At-Large #11 - Glencoe

  4. Rankings – Once the 32 qualifying teams are determined, they will be placed on the OSAA bracket according to OSAA Executive Board Policy "State Championships – Rankings".
