Rankings Freeze and Play-In Dates Summary

32-team OSAA bracket

  1. Automatic Qualifiers – Twenty-one teams automatically qualify for the OSAA's 32-team bracket based on regular season and/or district tournament play. Each league determines how they will select their allotted playoff spots.

      PIL – 3; Metro – 3; Pacific - 3; Mt. Hood – 3; Three Rivers – 3; Mountain Valley – 3; Southwest – 3

      PIL - Jefferson, Grant, Cleveland
      Metro - Jesuit, Mountainside, Westview
      Pacific - Sherwood, Newberg, Century
      Mt. Hood - Barlow, Clackamas, Central Catholic
      Three Rivers - Lake Oswego, West Linn, Tualatin
      Mountain Valley - South Salem, Summit, McNary
      Southwest - South Eugene, North Medford, Sheldon

  2. Rankings Freeze Date – The rankings will freeze at 10pm on Saturday, February 29.

  3. At-Large Qualifiers – Eleven additional teams qualify for the OSAA's 32-team bracket based on the OSAA rankings. Once the rankings are frozen, the 11 highest ranked teams not already an automatic league qualifier will qualify as At-Large teams.

      At-Large #3 - Gresham
      At-Large #4 - Beaverton
      At-Large #5 - David Douglas
      At-Large #6 - Sunset
      At-Large #7 - Grants Pass
      At-Large #8 - West Salem
      At-Large #9 - Canby
      At-Large #10 - Mountain View
      At-Large #11 - Sandy

  4. Rankings – Once the 32 qualifying teams are determined, they will be placed on the OSAA bracket according to OSAA Executive Board Policy “State Championships – Rankings”.
