October in Oregon is Fire Prevention Month!
This is a time when fire service across the state joins forces to spread the word about fire safety. This year's theme from the National Fire Prevention Association (NFPA), is "Look. Listen. Learn. Be aware. Fire can happen anywhere." The Office of State Fire Marshal asks that Oregon schools consider increasing their fire safety lessons and resources to their students throughout the month.
