New members include: Gustavo Balderas, Superintendent, Beaverton School District; George Mendoza, Superintendent, La Grande School District; Adam Watkins, Superintendent, Blachly School District; Jamie Ongman, Director of School Operations, Klamath County School District; Bill Masei, Coach, Dallas High School; Anna Maria Lopez, Athletic Director, St. Mary's Academy and Chrissy Reitz, Board Member, Hood River Valley School District.

In April, the Delegate Assembly elected Gustavo Balderas, Superintendent, Beaverton SD, as the 6A representative on the OSAA Executive Board, replacing Mike Scott who is retiring from the Hillsboro School District. Gustavo was the 2020 AASA National Superintendent of the Year and has extensive experience in Oregon through his 33 years in education.

George Mendoza, Superintendent, La Grande SD, was appointed by the OSAA Executive Board to fill the vacant 4A position and then was formally voted in by the Delegate Assembly in April. Within his 26+ years in education, George has been involved with the OSAA through the Delegate Assembly, State Championship Committee, and OSAA Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee.

Adam Watkins was voted by the Delegate Assembly in April as the 1A representative on the Board. Adam has experience at nearly every classification of the Association leading to his current role of being the Superintendent in Blachly SD. Adam is very involved in the Coalition of Oregon School Administrators (COSA) and is an advocate of small schools through the SSSA.

In addition to the representatives elected by the Delegate Assembly, the OSAA Executive Board appointed four individuals to fill vacancies.

Jamie Ongman was appointed by the OSAA Executive Board as the 4A/3A At-Large Representative replacing Heidi Sipe. Jamie has extensive knowledge of Southern Oregon through his time in the Klamath County School District, culminating in his current role as the Director of School Operations. Jamie has been involved with the OSAA through the Classification and Districting Committee, State Championship Committee and the Delegate Assembly.

Masei from Dallas HS replaces John Beck as the Oregon Athletic Coaches Association representative. Bill brings a wealth of expertise to the Executive Board through his 32 years of coaching. He has coached Football, Wrestling, Track & Field, Cross Country and Swimming. He has served on the OACA Executive Board and numerous OSAA committees.

Anna Maria Lopez joins the OSAA Executive Board as the Oregon Athletic Directors Association representative replacing Tim Sam. A mainstay within the athletic director ranks for over 30 years, Anna Maria is considered a leader within the profession. Her passion for athletics and activities has been a continuum from her days as a high school and college athlete, to coach, to administrator.

Chrissy Reitz is the newly appointed representative for the Oregon School Board's Association, replacing Sherry Higgins. Chrissy has been part of the Hood River County School District Board since 2015. During that tenure she has chaired and vice chaired the school board. Reitz has experienced the positive influence that sports and other extra-curriculars have on the lives of children through her work on the board.
