3A/2A/1A Girls Cross Country Championship Qualifications

3A/2A/1A Girls Cross Country

  1. Team Automatic Qualifiers - Twelve teams automatically qualify for the OSAA Cross Country State Championships. These teams are based on league / special district meets on or before Saturday, October 28. Each league / special district determines how they select their three allotted championship spots.

    Special District 1 - Oregon Episcopal, Valley Catholic, Banks
    Special District 2 - Kennedy, Central Linn, Santiam Christian
    Special District 3 - Union, Sisters, Enterprise
    Special District 4 - Siuslaw, Bandon, Lakeview

  2. At-Large Qualifiers - Two additional teams will qualify for the OSAA Cross Country State Championships. These teams will be determined by the selection committee after the district meets have concluded. Seeding Criteria

    At-Large #1 - Burns
    At-Large #2 - Heppner

  3. Individual Automatic Qualifiers - Any individual in the top seven across the line, not a member of a qualifying team, will qualify as an individual for the state championships. If all of the top seven individuals are members of qualifying teams, no additional individuals will be added.

    Special District 1 - Micah Rigg (Nestucca)
    Special District 2 - Daisy Lalonde (East Linn Christian), Kalkidan Ellis (Western Christian), Clara Persons (Regis), and Jayde Reyes-Cornejo (Taft)
    Special District 3 - Addie Saunders (Vale), and Libby Smith (La Pine)
    Special District 4 - Louisa Lamarre (Cascades Academy), and Callie Sarnoski (Oakland)


  4. Ties - for final team or individual qualification spots shall be broken by the league/special district prior to submitting the official state championship entry to the OSAA.
