Rankings Freeze and Play-In Dates Summary

1A Football (6-player)

12-team OSAA bracket

  1. Automatic Qualifiers – Twelve teams automatically qualify for the OSAA’s 12-team bracket based on regular season and/or special district tournament play on or before Saturday, October 28. Each special district determines how they will select their allotted playoff spots.

      Special District 1 - 5; Special District 2 (North) - 3 ; Special District 2 (South) - 3

    Special District 1 - Joseph, South Wasco County, Prairie City/Burnt River, Harper Charter, Echo
    Special District 2 - North - Eddyville Charter, Alsea, Triangle Lake
    Special District 2 - South - Powers, Elkton, North Lake


  2. Rankings Freeze Date – The rankings will freeze at 10pm on Saturday, October 28.

  3. At-Large Qualifiers – One additional team will qualify for the OSAA's 12-team bracket based on the OSAA rankings. Once the rankings are frozen, the highest ranked fourth place finisher between SD2 North and SD2 South will qualify as the At-Large team.

  4. Rankings – Once the final 12 teams are determined, they will be placed on the OSAA bracket according to OSAA Executive Board Policy "State Championships – Rankings".
