2007 Speech Results
More than 475 high school students representing 66 schools participated at the OSAA / U.S. Bank / Les Schwab Tires 2007 Speech State Championships held Thursday, April 19, through Saturday, April 21, at Western Oregon University in Monmouth.
The results of the competition were:
6A Sweepstakes : 1. Westview High School ( Portland) –92 points; 2. Sam Barlow High School ( Gresham)–60 points; 3. Sprague High School ( Salem) –47 points; 4. Tigard High School –30 points; 5. Wilson High School ( Portland) –24 points.
5A Sweepstakes : 1. Ashland High School –83 points; 2. Madison High School ( Portland) –59 points; 3. Summit High School ( Bend) –45 points; 4. Hermiston High School –20 points; 5. (tie) Liberty High School ( Hillsboro) –16 points; 5. (tie) Silverton High School -16 points.
4A/3A/2A/1A Sweepstakes : 1. Neah-Kah-Nie High School ( Rockaway Beach) –26 points; 2. (tie) Bandon High School –18 points; 2. (tie) Nestucca High School (Cloverdale) –18 points; 4. North Valley High School ( Grants Pass)–16 points; 5. North Bend High School –10 points.
