Help

Here are some answers to frequently asked questions:

The web page isn't displaying properly!
While we made every possible effort that our site would be compatible across all browsers, the site does have incompatibility issues. If you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer for Macintosh, the site may display in a way different than was originally expected. Please use the Apple Safari or Mozilla Firefox web browsers instead. Both are free downloads.

Why am I being asked for a username and password when downloading Excel spreadsheet forms?
There is no username or password required to open and/or save Excel spreadsheet forms from our site. To avoid being prompted for a username or password while saving an Excel spreadsheet form, RIGHT-CLICK on the link of the form you wish to save and choose "Save Target As" or "Save Link As." If you only have one mouse button (such as on a Mac), CLICK AND HOLD down the mouse button until a menu appears and choose "Download Link to Disk."

The page/file isn't downloading!
Many of the files on our website are PDF files. You need a PDF reader like Adobe Reader to see them. If you already have this installed, it's possible you have an older version. The current version of Adobe Reader is 7.0. If you have an older version of Adobe Reader or do not have Adobe Reader installed on your computer, download the latest version of Adobe Reader for free.

Why am I getting an error message that says "There was an error opening this document. This viewer cannot decrypt this document."?

The information on the page isn't updated!
Many times your browser is loading a previously cached version of a webpage, which is stored on your computer in your browser's cached files. If you think the information should be updated on a page, try clicking on "Refresh" or "Reload" in your browser to see if a newer version is out there.

Why don't you use html files for everything?
OSAA.org is in a transitional phase where new information would be published in both HTML and PDF formats. However, all of our forms will remain in PDF format only so that they may print correctly from any web browser.

I didn't get ________ information in the mail this year, why not?
In addition to providing more information on our website, we have also created a system to email information and reminders to Athletic Directors, Activity Directors, Principals, Superintendents. This is a very cost-effective, efficient way for a non-profit to distribute information, and in most cases, has worked very well.

Where can I find information for a specific sport/activity?
The links at the side of the page lead to a main page for each activity, including the staff contact specifics.

Where can I see the rules for ____________ ?
Click on our 'Handbook and Forms' link on the side.
