3A Boys Cross Country Championship Qualifications

3A Boys Cross Country

  1. Team Automatic Qualifiers - Eight teams automatically qualify for the OSAA Cross Country State Championships. These teams are based on league / special district meets on or before Saturday, October 28. Each league / special district determines how they select their two allotted championship spots.

    Special District 1 - Valley Catholic, Oregon Episcopal
    Special District 2 - Harrisburg, Santiam Christian
    Special District 3 - Sisters, Enterprise
    Special District 4 - Siuslaw, Cascade Christian

  2. At-Large Qualifiers - Four additional teams will qualify for the OSAA Cross Country State Championships. These teams will be determined by the selection committee after the district meets have concluded. Seeding Criteria

    At-Large #1 - Banks
    At-Large #2 - Burns
    At-Large #3 - Riverside
    At-Large #4 - Westside Christian

  3. Individual Automatic Qualifiers - Any individual in the top seven across the line, not a member of a qualifying team, will qualify as an individual for the state championships. If all of the top seven individuals are members of qualifying teams, no additional individuals will be added.

    Special District 1 - Jayden Warner (Warrenton), Gus Kirby (Neah-Kah-Nie), Nathan Contreras (Westside Christian), and Amin Diani (Banks)
    Special District 2 - Brennan Hake (Amity), Jude Carman (Elmira), and Jackson Nightingale (Taft)
    Special District 3 - Trevor Stewart (Vale), Tanner Joyce (Burns)
    Special District 4 - Noah Eischenbusch (Glide)


  4. Ties - for final team or individual qualification spots shall be broken by the league/special district prior to submitting the official state championship entry to the OSAA.
