2008 Choir Results

More than 3,600 high school students representing sixty-three high schools performed Thursday, Friday and Saturday, May 1-3, at the 2008 OSAA / U.S. Bank / Les Schwab Tires Choir State Championships held in the Bauman Auditorium on the campus of George Fox University.

The winners were:

6A CHOIR DIVISION:

1st - Rex Putnam High School (Milwaukie), Directed by John Baker - 350 points.

2nd - Sprague High School (Salem), Directed by Russell Christensen - 349 points.

3rd - South Salem High School, Directed by Carol Stenson - 337 points.

4th - Westview High School (Portland), Directed by Marci Taylor - 332 points.

5th (TIE) - Canby High School, Directed by Tom Gingerich - 324 points.

5th (TIE) - West Salem High School, Directed by Lisa McIntyre - 324 points.

 

5A CHOIR DIVISION:

1st - Cleveland High School (Portland), Directed by Samuel Barbara - 323 points.

2nd - Wilsonville High School, Directed by Sue Schreiner - 320 points.

3rd - Crescent Valley High School, Directed by Emily Thielen - 311 points.

4th - Springfield High School, Directed by Stacy Swartout-McKee - 303 points.

5th - Klamath Union High School, Directed by Charles Hamilton - 300 points.

 

4A CHOIR DIVISION:

1st - Baker High School, Directed by Thomas L. Isaacson - 335 points.

2nd - Philomath High School, Directed by Daniel N. Johnson - 320 points.

3rd - La Grande High School, Directed by Kevin C. Durfee - 310 points.

4th - Central High School (Monmouth), Directed by Jeffrey D. Witt - 307 points.

5th - Molalla High School, Directed by Tim Friesen - 305 points.

1st - Westside Christian High School, Directed by Robert Crews - 326 points.

2nd - Oregon Episcopal School, Directed by Adam Steele - 314 points.

3rd - Santiam Christian High School, Directed by Charles Perry - 312 points.

1st - Western Mennonite High School (Salem), Directed by Russell Adrian - 328 points.

2nd - Salem Academy, Directed by Janet Carruthers - 311 points.

4th - Portland Christian High School, Directed by Daniel A. Burnett - 293 points.
