2008 Choir Results
More than 3,600 high school students representing sixty-three high schools performed Thursday, Friday and Saturday, May 1-3, at the 2008 OSAA / U.S. Bank / Les Schwab Tires Choir State Championships held in the Bauman Auditorium on the campus of George Fox University.
The winners were:
6A CHOIR DIVISION:
1st - Rex Putnam High School (Milwaukie), Directed by John Baker - 350 points.
2nd - Sprague High School (Salem), Directed by Russell Christensen - 349 points.
3rd - South Salem High School, Directed by Carol Stenson - 337 points.
4th - Westview High School (Portland), Directed by Marci Taylor - 332 points.
5th (TIE) - Canby High School, Directed by Tom Gingerich - 324 points.
5th (TIE) - West Salem High School, Directed by Lisa McIntyre - 324 points.
5A CHOIR DIVISION:
1st - Cleveland High School (Portland), Directed by Samuel Barbara - 323 points.
