2008 Band/Orchestra Results

Students representing sixty-eight high schools performed Wednesday through Saturday, May 6-9, at the 2008 OSAA / U.S. Bank / Les Schwab Tires Band and Orchestra State Championships held at the LaSells Stewart Center on the campus of Oregon State University.

The top winners in each division were:

2A/1A BAND DIVISION:

1st – Riddle High School, Directed by Martin A. Follose- 291 points.

2nd – Kennedy High School (Mt. Angel), Directed by Nathan Parker - 270 points.

3rd – Lakeview High School, Directed by Brian Redmond - 264 points.

4th – Corbett High School, Directed by Tim Kilgore- 254 points.

 

3A BAND DIVISION:

1st – Warrenton High School, Directed by John Hammond - 263 points.

2nd – Burns High School, Directed by Ken Peckham - 259 points.

3rd – Jefferson High School, Directed by Heather Clark - 226 points.

4th – Grant Union High School (John Day), Directed by Mary Ann Vidourek - 213 points.

 

4A BAND DIVISION:

1st – Cascade High School (Turner), Directed by Marcia Stevens - 290 points.

2nd – Sisters High School, Directed by Jody Henderson - 266 points.

3rd (TIE) – Douglas High School (Winston), Directed by Robert Carwithin - 260 points.

3rd (TIE) – Seaside High School, Directed by Terry Dahlgren - 260 points.

5th – La Grande High School, Directed by Jim Howell - 258 points.

1st – Klamath Union High School, Directed by Charles Moresi - 291 points.

2nd – Crescent Valley High School (Corvallis), Directed by Kristine Janes - 286 points.

3rd – Springfield High School, Directed by Christopher Holt - 274 points.

4th – Hillsboro High School, Directed by Geoff Fotland - 272 points.

5th – Corvallis High School, Directed by Marshall Price - 266 points.

1st – South Salem High School, Directed by Mary Lou Boderman - 318 points.

2nd – Lake Oswego High School, Directed by Dave Matthys - 314 points.

3rd – Southridge High School (Beaverton), Directed by Todd Zimbelman - 308 points.

4th – Reynolds High School (Troutdale), Directed by Ben Brooks - 305 points.

5th – Sprague High School, Directed by Brad Howard - 304 points.

 

STRING ORCHESTRA DIVISION:

1st – Reynolds High School, Directed by Ben Brooks - 322 points.
