4A Girls Cross Country Championship Qualifications

4A Girls Cross Country

  1. Team Automatic Qualifiers - Twelve teams automatically qualify for the OSAA Cross Country State Championships. These teams are based on league / special district meets on or before Saturday, October 28. Each league / special district determines how they select their two allotted championship spots.

    Cowapa - Tillamook, Scappoose
    Tri-Valley - The Dalles, Crook County
    Oregon West - Philomath, Stayton
    Sky Em - Cottage Grove, Junction City
    Skyline - Klamath Union, Henley
    Greater Oregon - La Grande, Baker

  2. At-Large Qualifiers - One additional team will qualify for the OSAA Cross Country State Championships. This team will be determined by the selection committee after the district meets have concluded. Seeding Criteria

    At-Large #1 - North Bend

  3. Individual Automatic Qualifiers - Any individual in the top seven across the line, not a member of a qualifying team, will qualify as an individual for the state championships. If all of the top seven individuals are members of qualifying teams, no additional individuals will be added.

    Cowapa - Maddie Menke (Seaside), Elizabeth Joli (Astoria), and Kate Leonard (St. Helens)
    Tri-Valley - Emily Picard (Madras), Annalyse Jenson (Molalla)
    Oregon West - Makaila Kuenzi (Cascade), and Macallan Cutsforth (North Marion)
    Sky Em - Lucy Shah (Marist Catholic)
    Skyline - Joey Clark (Hidden Valley)
    Greater Oregon - Melissa Tune (Pendleton)

  4. Ties - for final team or individual qualification spots shall be broken by the league/special district prior to submitting the official state championship entry to the OSAA.
